EIFS System

EIFS is an insulating, decorative and protective finish system for exterior walls. It is the only exterior wall covering that insulates and provides weather protection in a selection of shapes, colours and textures.

At ROTA BUILD we are highly acclaimed in the EIFS industry for our innovative approach. We help customers reduce cost and increase energy efficiency by offering EIFS alternatives to Brick, Blocks, and Metal Panels.

Joints and Sealants

Joint sealants are used to seal joints and openings between two or more substrates. The main purpose is to prevent air, water, and environmental elements from entering.

When joints fail, leaks follow. Modern residential and commercial structures rely heavily on sealants to prevent water damage to buildings and their contents.

Tuck Pointing

When mortar joints are hit by wind and moisture, they start to disintegrate. Tuck-pointing involves filling in eroded or weathered mortar joints between masonry units with new mortar material.

ROTA BUILD uses grinding tools with a vacuum attachment (9500+ rate) meeting ULC and OSHA requirements for a clean, safe work area.

Parapet Repair

Parapets extend above roof level and are exposed to weather on both faces. Without proper maintenance, distressed parapets could collapse.

Repairs range from tuck-pointing mortar joints to installing steel reinforcing bars dowelled into the structure.

Lintel Replacement

Steel lintels support masonry over openings. They are susceptible to corrosion (rust jacking), which can expand the steel up to 10 times its thickness, cracking the wall.

Severely corroded lintels require complete removal and replacement with new galvanized steel members.

Through Wall Flashing

Efflorescence (salt residue) indicates water infiltration. Once the source is found, repairs can range from tuck-pointing to installing a through-wall flashing system.

Properly detailed flashing and weep systems are essential to prevent leaks in modern construction.

The Building Evaluation Report by ROTA BUILD INC. provides a complete visual inspection of building exteriors, including mortar condition, flashings, and caulking.

Balcony Restoration

In our experience, not all repairs are visible from the outside. If we see signs of underlying issues, we recommend an investigative opening to give the most accurate quote possible.
